SFC BOARD TREASURER
The Nominating Committee is announcing the upcoming opening of the position of SFC Board Treasurer. This position involves the financial aspects of the SFC which includes balancing of the monthly ledger, preparing monthly financial reports, handling all the financial transactions, preparing for the yearly audit and overall, being a good custodian of the SFC funds. This is a two-year position which advances to Vice President, President, and Chairman by election. As a board member, this is a 5-year overall commitment that requires attendance at all meetings and active participation on the improvement and future of the Society of Flavor Chemists. It is important to have the employer’s support through this endeavor.
The minimum qualification for this position is Certified Member status in good standing. Serving in prior committee positions is a plus, but not required.
I invite all Certified Members to consider serving on the Board of Directors of The Society of Flavor Chemists. It is a wonderful opportunity to get involved and gain better understanding of the inner workings of the SFC, work with colleagues in the industry, and find friendships along the way.
