October, 28, 1943 – January 23, 2016

Richard Andrew Feagin, Sr., age 72, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Burleson, Texas following a 7 month battle with Lymphoma.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 12 pm -1 pm in the Chapel of Chimes, Laurel Land Cemetery, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76134.  The funeral service will begin at 1 pm followed by interment in Laurel Land Cemetery.  Memorials: donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in Richard’s memory at cancer.org/donate.  Pallbearers: Frederick Allen Feagin, Robbin Wayne Feagin, Henry Lee Brown, III, Donald Wayne Brown, Sr., William Preston Feagin and John Wayne Blanks Jr.  He was born October 28, 1943 in Waller, Texas.  Richard married Pam on November, 7 1964 in Houston, Texas.  He is a graduate of the University of Houston with the class of 1969, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  He worked in the Flavor Industry for 50 years and rose from a Laboratory Assistant to a Senior Flavor Chemist.  This work led Richard and Pam on a trip through many parts of the United States.  They lived in Texas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Connecticut, Ohio, Missouri, New York, and Illinois.  He developed many lifelong friendships through his career and enjoyed mentoring and encouraging beginning Flavorists just as others had mentored and encouraged him.  Richard was a quiet, gentle man with a dry sense of humor.  He loved the outdoors where he could enjoy the wonders of nature.  The family enjoyed wonderful vacations camping, hiking, and fishing in the National Parks or returning to Texas to see their families.  At home, Richard spent hours working in his yard and spoiling his dogs.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Herrell Andrew Long Feagin and Willie Belle Maxwell Feagin; brothers, Robert Preston Feagin and William Harold Feagin; and sister, Glenda Faye Brown Coffey.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Pama Lee Brown Feagin; daughter, Angela Michelle Feagin Brantley and husband James S. Brantley; sons, Richard Andrew Feagin, II and wife Sharon Steenrod Feagin and Robert Allen Feagin; brothers, Frederick Allen Feagin and wife Connie Sellers Feagin, Robin Wayne Feagin, Henry Lee Brown III and Donald Wayne Brown, Sr.; sisters, Susan Gayle Brown and Betty June Brown Blanks and husband John Wayne Blanks, Sr.; granddaughters, Sarah Johnson Woodworth, Jennifer Pearl Brantley, Abigail Paige Feagin and Zoey Elizabeth Feagin; great grand daughters, Elizabeth Mae Brantley and Delilah Melody Woodworth; great grandsons, James Gordon Woodworth and Jacob Gideon Woodworth, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
